On Wednesday, May 5, 2021, the Bridgeport Regional Business Council, in collaboration with Fairfield County’s Community Foundation hosted a discussion on K-12 Education in Connecticut in regards to career exploration and readiness for our youth. The keynote speaker Shannon Marimón, Executive Director of ReadyCT, an organization that advocates for education policies and practices for public school students across the state.
JAGFC President Bernadine Venditto was a part of the panel discussion, as well as representatives from Bridgeport Prospers Cradle to Career, Bullard-Havens Technical High School, and Greater Bridgeport STEM Learning Ecosystem. The panelists helped give a local perspective on programs in our region introducing kids to different career paths and learning opportunities, including our brand new career exploration experience JA Inspire Virtual.
