(Bridgeport, CT) – Junior Achievement of Greater Fairfield County recently received a $10,000 grant from the Fairfield County Community Foundation. Funds will assist JAGFC in bringing a brand- new financial literacy and economic empowerment program to Fairfield County youth titled JA Virtual Finance Park.
JA Virtual Finance Park is a financial literacy initiative designed to help middle and high school students better understand how to manage money and make intelligent financial decisions.. Students will participate in lessons centered on money management, budgeting, income and taxes, and financial and educational decisions, which include hands-on activities where students use critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication skills. The capstone is an interactive simulation during which students are assigned a scenario and they must navigate financial and budget decisions.
