POSTPONED JA Stock Market Challenge 2020

In these unsettling days, we must continue to prioritize the health and safety of the entire JAGFC community – students, teachers, volunteers, supporters, board members, staff, and other partners.

The Junior Achievement Student Stock Market Challenge is a technology-based simulation of the stock market in which every 60 seconds represents a day of trading. Beginning with a hypothetical account balance of $500,000, student teams compete to accumulate the highest possible net worth in their investment portfolio by the close of trading. The stakes are high and the competition is fierce!

Initial stock picks are submitted to Junior Achievement in advance but during the event, teams compete in a virtual market and buy/sell shares in 26 fictitious companies. Trading is FAST and FUN with a new trading day starts every 60 seconds.Onsite traders make buying and selling instantaneous and trades are projected immediately on three large projection screens which also track the following:
* Stock prices
* Graphical depictions of stock performance
* Team names with portfolio values and rankings
